Nellie "Beth" LindseyNellie Elizabeth “Beth” Lindsey, 87, of Havana died at 6:05 a.m. July 22, 2007, at her home.

She was born July 11, 1920, in Redkey, Ind., a daughter of Howard and Ruth M. Dairy Brown. She married Loren Lindsey on Feb. 21, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Oct. 31, 1987.

She also was preceded in death by one son; one brother; and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Charles (and Joy); two daughters, Sharon Kay (and Clyde) Malott of Lewistown and Carolyn Richardson of Havana; one sister, Claire Lewis of Peoria; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk at Carp’s in Havana.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown.

Cremation will be accorded. Services were held Wednesday at her church with Rev. Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Henry-Lange Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
