Margie LuthyMargie R. Luthy, 80, of Rushville died at 5:25 p.m. April 13, 2007, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Rushville, a daughter of David V. and Etta Pearl Adkison Vollmer. She married Karl H. Luthy on Aug. 24, 1946, in Rushville. He died Nov. 23, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Iola Phillips Icenogle and Doris McMunn.

Surviving are four sons, David (and Margie) of Rushville, Joe (and Linda) of Mount Sterling, Robert (and Patsy) of Ellsinore, Mo., and Roger (and Ganell) of Versailles; two sisters, Louisa (and Hubert) Cripe of Astoria and Nancy (and Robert) Longwell of Mountain Grove, Mo.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great grandchildren.

She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Richland Sunshine Class, attended the Schuyler Senior Center and farmed with her husband all their married life.

Services were held Monday at her church with Rev. Larry Reinke officiating. Burial was in Herche Cemetery southwest of Rushville. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
