ROBERT F. LITTLE

Robert Little

Robert F. Little, 58, of Vermont died at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at his residence.

He was born April 28, 1946, in Macomb, a son of Cletis and Betty Markley Little. He married Kathy Parry on Sept. 6, 1963, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Vermont; three daughters, Pam (and Brad) Hopping, Brenda Little and Robin (and Carl) Beebe, all of Vermont; one son, Robert Jr. (and Cary) of Vermont; two sisters, Linda Pottorf of Havana and Patricia Little of Vermont; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Michael and David.

He had been a farmer in the Vermont area.

A member of the local BMWE Railroad Union, he also was a truck driver for Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad for 27 1/2 years.

He had served as president and vice president of the Vermont Memorial Ballpark.

He was a member of the Vermont Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.

He also was a member of the South Fulton Antique Tractor Association.
Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. at Vermont Cemetery with Mike Rumler officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Vermont Ballpark or to the Vermont Fire Department.
