Herbert R. Lafary, 90, of Table Grove died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Table Grove, a son of Harry Clay and Rosa Hamm Lafary. He married Mary H. Palm on Dec. 20, 1937, in Monticello, Mo. She died Oct. 28, 2001.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Ralph; one granddaughter; and three brothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Shelba (and Jerry) Bartlett and Janet (and Joe) Augugliaro, both of Table Grove, and Jane (and Ed) Vyhnanek of Colchester; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Drummond of Good Hope.
For most of his life he farmed in the Table Grove area.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Terry Broady officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program.
