Mary Helen Lafary, 85, of Table Grove died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, in the emergency room at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born May 8, 1916, in Galesburg, a daughter of Martin and Della Lafary Palm. She married Herbert Lafary on Dec. 20, 1937, in Monticello, Mo. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Shelba (and Jerry) Bartlett and Janet (and Joe) Augugliaro, both of Table Grove, and Jane (and Ed) Vyhnanek of Colchester; two sisters, Phyllis Doyle of Aurora and Helen Hix of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ralph; one granddaughter; five brothers; and one sister.
She was a member of Point Pleasant Church in rural Marietta.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Ron Green officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where family visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
