Marshall J. Lawver, 79, of Canton, died at 2 a.m. Monday, July 24, 1995, at Danville Veterans Administration Regional Hospital in Danville.
HE was born June 29, 1916, in Astoria, a son of Carl and Dorothy Pratt Lawver. He married Leona Walraven on March 5, 1939, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Larry M. of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Russell of Astoria and Gene of Canton. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Kay Lawver, two brothers and two sisters.
He was a mechanic for International Harvester Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1979. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Lewistown. He was a member of Monterey Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
