Jessie E. Lowder, 75, of Bryant died at 11:38 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, the daughter of Herbert Dayle and Kathryn Belless Shields. She married Robert B. Lowder on June 13, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He died April 20, 1970. Three brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one brother, William Wayne Shields of Waukegan, and several nieces and nephews.
She provided care for elderly people in their homes in the Fulton County area. She was a member of East Side Nazarene Church in Canton for 45 years, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, church pianist, missionary president. She also was a member of the Church Treasury.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial in Summum Cemetery in Astoria.
