VeteranKenneth Luper Dies Aug. 20

Kenneth L. Luper, 59, of Table Grove, died at 5:39 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 1990, at St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

He was born Aug. 24, 1930, in Augusta, a son of Lawrence and Mary Bagley Luper. He married Margaret Bivens on May 17, 1952, in Lompoc, Calif. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jeffrey of Avon; three daughters, Connie Miller of Knoxville, Kathy Rivers of Galesburg and Mrs. Todd (Susan) Pudik of Colchester; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Jerry of Osage, Mo., Harold of Bushnell and Ralph of Table Grove.

He was preceded in death by one daughter.

He worked for the Luper and Sundberg Co. in Avon and served in the 44th Division of the National Guard. He worked for the State of Illinois for the last 23 years and has lived in Table Grove the last five years. He was a member of Avon American Legion, Avon Volunteer Fire Department and the Table Grove American Legion.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Corman Memorial Home in Avon with Rev. Paul Ballard officiating. Calling hours will be preceding services. Burial will be in Prairie City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Rescue Squad or the Avon Ambulance.
