Russell Litchfield Of Coal Valley Dies

Russell L. Litchfield, 54, of 2414 1st St. W., Coal Valley, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1977, at Oak Glen Home after an extended illness.

He was born in Astoria, a son of Clarence and Ora Haffner Litchfield. He went to Coal Valley in 1936. He was employed at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coal Valley.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ora Litchfield, with whom he resided; two brothers, Eugene H. of Macomb and Charles W. of Moline; and two sisters, Mrs. H. Donald White of Coal Valley and Mrs. David Harrison of Albany, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Larson Funeral Home in Milan with burial in Beulah Cemetery.

Those from Astoria who attended funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leib and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lewis Danner.
