Pneumonia Claims Norris Lauderback Well Known Here

Norris Lauderback, 143 West Olive street, died at 7 o’clock Wednesday night at his residence in Canton, after having been ill for five days with pneumonia. He has spent practically all of his life in and around Sheldons Grove, six miles southeast of Astoria.

Mr. and Mrs. Lauderback celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last Christmas, traveling to California and Colorado to visit their children. They are well-liked by their neighbors and friends. He was a member of the Sheldons Grove First Methodist church.

He was born June 20, 1858, in Bluff City, a son of Reuben and Almeda (Moore) Lauderback. He married Willimen Harlow on Christmas day, 1879, in Sheldons Grove. She is still living. Chauncey Lauderback of Crook, Colo., is his brother.

Surviving children are Mrs. Pearl Vorgeitz, Canton; C. J., Tulsa, Oklahoma; William, Macomb; Mrs. Grace Jacobs, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Florence McDonald, Denver, Colo.; Blaine, Clinton, Iowa; Mrs. Laura Worley, Adair and Jake, of Cuba. There are also sixteen grandchildren living and one great-grandchild. Six grandchildren are no longer living.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Rev. John Davis officiating. Burial at Sheldons Grove cemetery.
