Gerald KinnamonGerald E. Kinnamon, 85, of Lewistown died at 8:04 p.m. Nov. 2, 2011, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Ipava, the son of Walter and Gladys Ebbert Kinnamon. He married Leola Johnson. She preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1958. He later married Martha Hoffman on April 2, 1960, in Mason City. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2010.

Surviving are three sons, Jerry Kinnamon and Randy Kinnamon, both of Lewistown and Mike (and Chris) Kinnamon of Dunfermline; one sister, Vonee (and Jack) Davis of Lewistown; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the 16th Armored Company D 5th Tank Battalion.

He managed and operated Kinnamon Service Station in Lewistown from 1946-95.

He was a life member of Lewistown VFW Post 5001, Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1, a 33rd degree Mason and a 50-year member of Lewistown Lodge 104 AF and AM, Mohammed Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria and Lewistown Optimist Club.

Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military honors conducted by his VFW and American Legion posts.
