Mrs. Alethia May Kessler, 76, of RR 2, Astoria, died Friday afternoon at her home following several years of illness.
Mrs. Kessler was born in Woodland Township on May 8, 1893, to Mathias D. and Abbie A. Horn Keefer. She married M. Ray Kessler on Aug. 10, 1911. He survives.
She was a member of the Summum Christian Church and was a lifetime resident of the Astoria area.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one grandson, Richard Beaird of Springfield, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Summum Christian Church with Rev. James Shirley officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
