Last Rites For Jeff Kingery Held

Thomas Jefferson Kingery was born in Woodland township, Fulton county, Illinois, January 30, 1871 and departed this life at his home east of Summum, January 28, 1930, aged 58 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Mr. Kingery was a successful farmer and spent his entire life in Fulton county. He has been in failing health for quite a long time and a few weeks ago he grew worse, which resulted in his death.

He was married to Ida Wrestler, Aug. 27, 1889 and to this union eight children were born: Frank, of Pleasant township; Guy, of Ipava; Terrence of Woodland township; Ross, of Canton; George of Macomb Normal College and John, Dollie and Dottie, at home. He was a loving farmer, desirous to have his children get a good education and do well in life. Also he was a good neighbor.

He leaves to mourn his departure the companion, the above named children, six grandchildren, one brother, Clayton Kingery of Woodland township, one sister, Mrs. Sadie O. Zimmerman, of Pleasant township and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Summum, Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock by Rev. W. R. Seitzinger, pastor of the United Brethren church of Astoria and interment in the Summum cemetery.

Jeff Kingery Residing East Of Summum Dies

Thomas Jefferson Kingery died at his home east of Summum Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, following an illness of about a month’s duration.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock at the Christian church, Summum, Rev. W. R. Seitzinger, officiating.

Besides his wife he is survived by eight children: Frank of Pleasant township, Guy of Ipava, Terrence of Woodland, Ross of Canton, John, George, Dot and Doll at home. Also one brother, Clayton, of Woodland and one sister, Mrs. Sadie O. Zimmerman of Pleasant township.
