William R. Jones, 64, of Astoria died at 5:44 p.m. June 29, 2020, at Graham Hospital in Canton.William R. Jones, 64, of Astoria died at 5:44 p.m. June 29, 2020, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
He was born April 19, 1956, in Beardstown, a son of Robert and Rita Ralston Jones. He married DeAnna Brown on July 18, 1981, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wesley (and Abbie Fawcett) Jones of Ipava and Casey Jones of Lewistown; his mother of Astoria; three sisters, Kathy (and Bill) Pollitt and Donna (and Steve) Hamblin, both of Astoria, and Rhonda (and Chuck) Sosey of Lewistown; two brothers, Danny Jones and Larry Jones, both of Astoria; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one daughter, Chelsey Jones.
He was a farmer for several years and owner/operator of Jones Backhoe and Loader Service. He also was a truck driver for Astoria Ready Mix and then Beaird Transport at the time of his death.
He was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Astoria Cemetery with Pastor Greg Parker officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
