Phoebe Jackson

Phoebe JacksonPhoebe Jane Jackson, 70, of Macomb died at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 28, 2017, at the Cedar Village Long Term Care in Ness City, Kan.

She was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Rushville, a daughter of Marcus L. and Henrietta Campbell Robinson.

Surviving are three sons, Ricky (and Colleen) Jackson and Billy (and Carol) Jackson, both of Macomb, and Rodney Jackson of Roseville; one daughter, Marce (and Michael) McGovern of Beeler, Kan.; one sister, Doris (and Charles) Distefano of Pearland, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Edwin and Sterling Robinson.

She lived most of her life in Macomb until November 2016 when she moved to Kansas to live with her daughter.

She worked at Wal-Mart from 1987 until retiring in 2011. She donated blankets to several charities including Paralyzed Veterans, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and SPCA.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A gift fund has been established in her name.
