She was born Saturday, May 13, 1922, in Littleton Township, Schuyler County, the daughter of Lloyd W. and Eva E. Ingles Toland. She married Cleve E. Jones Jr. on Nov. 23, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Toland.
Surviving are one daughter, Judy Chaplain of Springfield, Mo.; two sons, Ron (and Dee) Jones of Rolling Meadows, and Bob (and Becky) Jones of Rushville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Doris and her husband owned and operated Jones TV in Rushville for 45 years until retiring in 1985.
She was a Cub Scout den mother for many years and a member of First United Methodist Church, Methodist Women and Daughters of American Revolution.
Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Gary Kruzan officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
