Dolores V. Jenkins, 79, of Lewistown, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Prairieview Care Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Sheldons Grove, a daughter of Earl and Blanche Osborne Dixon. She married Merle L. Jenkins on April 17, 1949, in Rushville. He died March 26, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Shoop of rural Canton and Melinda Thompson of Petersburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth Acker of Rushville and Priscilla Bucher of Macomb.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5001 Auxiliary and the TYR (Treat You Right) Ladies Club. She was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with the Rev. Jonna O’Dell officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
