LEE W. JOCKISCH

Lee W. Jockisch, 61, of Lewistown, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at his home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Waterford Township, Fulton County, a son of August W. and Eva Eileen Bennett Jockisch. He married Shirlene Roe on July 15, 1961, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Tom of rural Lewistown and Scott at home; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Susie) Adams of rural Lewistown; two brothers, Bill of rural Ipava and Carl of rural Cuba; one sister, Mrs. Roger (Betty) Clifford of Richmond, Va.; and three grandchildren.

One brother and one infant sister preceded him in death.

He attended Western Illinois University for two years. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a grade specialist in right-of-way site preparation in construction and later was a land reclamation manager for Amax Coal Co. He also was a farmer. He retired in 1992. He was a member of Laborers Local 231 in Pekin and was of the Nazarene faith.

Services were held this afternoon at Henry Memorial Home with Rev. Jon Sims officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Spoon River Hospice at Graham Hospital or Lewistown United Methodist Church.
