Chansler Johnson Dies In Arkansas

Chansler Johnson, 78, of Mt. Home, Ark., died Dec. 31, 1989, in Mt. Home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1911, in Houston, Tex., a son of Chrest and Ingeborg (Grotting) Johnson. On Feb. 22, 1946, in Winchester, Ill., he was married to Imogene Campbell of Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Johnson and Chrest Johnson, both of Houston, Tex.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a retired automotive engineer for Studebaker Corp. He was affiliated with the Lutheran Church. He was a member of Mt. Home Masonic Lodge and Mt. Home Chapter Order of Eastern Star. He belonged to other local organizations in Mt. Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Astoria Cemetery with Collis Trone officiating. Roller Funeral Home of Mt. Home was in charge of arrangements.
