Mrs. Eva Johnson Dies This Morning

Mrs. I. C. (Eva) Johnson of Astoria died early this morning at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frances Senger of Astoria, and one son, Ralph W. Johnson of Rossville, Ind.

A complete obituary will be printed in next week’s paper.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Rev. Arnold Naff officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.

Mrs. Eva Johnson Of Astoria Dies

Mrs. Eva E. Johnson, 94, of Astoria died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1975, at the Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Rev. D. Arnold Naff officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Feb. 18, 1880, in Astoria, a daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth McClung Merrill. She married Emmel C. Johnson on Feb. 20, 1898. He is deceased.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by one daughter, Frances E. Senger of Astoria; one son, Ralph W. Johnson, of Rossville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Oliver Merrill, of Rushville.

One daughter, one grandchild, two brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.
