Mrs. Reliance J. Jeffery, 82, died early Saturday morning in the Watkins Nursing Home in Havana after a lengthy illness. She was a life-time Astoria resident.
She was born Oct. 4, 1878 in Fulton county, the daughter of Jared and Mary Lock Bates. She was married Dec. 8, 1896, to Dixon Weese, who died Aug. 25, 1822. She was married on March 6, 1926, to E. E. Jeffery who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edna Shawgo of Browning; Mrs. Wealthie Kingery, Astoria, and Mrs. Margaret Cameron, Lewistown; a son Wade Weese of Boulder, Colo.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Mina Vaughn, Ipava, and a brother, Weldon Bates of Moline. A daughter, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Summum Christian church with the Rev. Eugene Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Summum cemetery.
