Margie IrwinMargie Esther Elizabeth Irwin, 73, of Littleton died at 9:36 p.m. March 31, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born Dec. 3, 1946, in Jersey County, a daughter of Hosie and Frances Kanuss Holder. She married Darwin “Butch” Irwin on Jan. 25, 1964, in Schuyler County. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2008.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Hosie Holder Jr., Robert “Bobby” Holder, Dee Holder and Claude Holder; and two sisters, Agnes Loness and Annetta McClendon.

Surviving are four children, Ronda (and Bill) Fitzjarrald of Bowen, Darwin D. (and Kelly) Irwin of Marthasville, Mo., Lynn A. (and Heather) Irwin of Littleton and Doyle L. (and Julie) Irwin of Crossville; three brothers, Mitchell Holder of Jerseyville, Paul (and Kathy) Holder of Springdale, Ark., and Tommy (and Kay) Holder of Versailles; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and member of the body of Christ, attending various churches.

Due to the current health situation and directives from the Illinois Governor and the CDC, private graveside services will be held at the Littleton Cemetery with Brother Matt Haberman officiating. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of monetary memorial contributions, the family suggests honoring Margie by helping the poor, feeding the hungry and strengthening your community.
