She was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Vermont, a daughter of Jerry J. and Maria Weigle Shank. She married Vernon R. “Shorty” Henderson on March 9, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2010.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Leon (and Darla) Henderson of Lewistown and Jerry (and Karen) Henderson of Urbana, Ohio; one brother, Daniel Shank of Canton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Brant Reed officiating. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery in Vermont. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.
