Billy HavensBilly Lee Havens, 90, of Canton died at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 16, 2022, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born May 5, 1932, in McDonough County, a son of William and Vada Postin Havens. He married Flora Norville on Dec. 18, 1965, in Industry. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jim (and Kay) Henderson; one brother, Ronnie (and Linda) Havens; four sisters, Bertie Winter, Shirley Graham, Jeanie Thompson and Sarah Sthel; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Jim and Bob Havens; and four sisters, Alice Head, Betty English, Wilma Virag and Susie Benham.

He was a laborer for nine years and a foreman for 22 years. He worked for TP&W/Santa Fe Railroad for 31 years.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He served during the Korean Conflict from 1953-55. He also was a life member of the Canton VFW.

Service were held Aug. 20 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton with Pastor Curtis Atchley officiating. Burial with military honors was held at Marietta Cemetery in Marietta.
