She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Missouri, a daughter of Clifford and Mabel Sipes. She married Clifford N. Heflin on June 6, 1944, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2012.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Jeffery; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Norman Heflin of Vermont; one daughter, Janet (and Sue Shima) Kelly of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a housewife.
She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Reverend Robert Greene officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
