Betty Jean Hunter, 65, of Petersburg, formerly of Vermont, died at 2:14 p.m. Jan. 13, 2020, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Jan. 30, 1954, in Monmouth. She married Kenneth Eugene Hunter on March 11, 1977. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2014.
She and Kenneth were house parents in Mooseheart.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Vermont Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
