He was born July 28, 1950, in Canton, the son of Carl and Eleanor Miles Hazzard. He married Janet Fouts on Dec. 30, 2011, in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Tyler (and Sara) Woodside of Bushnell; one daughter, Julie (and Scott Bilbrey) Wade of Godfrey; one sister, Janelle Hazzard of Bangor, Maine; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked as a filing clerk for Horace Mann in Springfield. He also worked at ACE Hardware in Havana.
He was a member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
