Frances M. Husted, 92, of Astoria died at 7:05 p.m. May 2, 2018, at The Elms in Macomb.
She was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Topeka, a daughter of Clyde and Bessie Roof Morris. She married Andrew Schaad on Jan. 20, 1946. She later married Jack D. Husted on Feb. 21, 1953, in Havana. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Suter of Springfield; two sons, David Schaad of Springfield and Kenneth Husted of Pinckneyville; three half-brothers, Wayne Morris of Ft. Jones, Calif., Don Morris of Cortey, Colo., and Kenneth Morris of Quincy, Mass.; three half-sisters, Mary Lou Brunson of Texas, June Wilson of Marsland, Neb., and Freida Perkins of Ceresco, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a telephone operator for 17 years.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America since 1941 and the Astoria American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Don Southerd officiating. Burial was in Mason City Cemetery.
