Rosa Etta HeffrenRosa Etta Heffren, 68, of Bryant died at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 16, 2011, at her home.

She was born May 8, 1943, in Beardstown, the daughter of Otis Eugene and Mary Louise Rogers Easley. She married Robert D. Heffren on June 1, 1985, in Bryant. He survives.

Also surviving are seven children, Stephen (and Karen) Heffren of Harvel, Scott Smith of Macomb, Carman (and Gary) Thorne of O'Fallon, Mo., Brian Heffren of Springfield, Mark (and Ladonna) Heffren of Farmersville, Katherine (and E.J.) Prisby of Trivoli and Robin (and Lenny) Kaufmann of Canton; one brother, Ronald E. (and Edith) Easley of Las Vegas, Nev.; 28 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

She worked at McDonough District Hospital where she was the office manager for the pathology lab for over 30 years.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown where she was a deacon and board secretary.

Services were held Tuesday at her church in Lewistown with Reverend Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Maryville Cemetery in Bryant. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
