She is a daughter of Raymond and Margaret McGur Hatton in Havana. She joined the Springfield Dominicans in 1944.
Surviving are one brother, James of Lanett, Ala.; two sisters, Linda Sager of Elmwood and Theresa McMullen of Table Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond.
From 1946 to 1969, she taught in Catholic parish elementary schools: St. Norbert, Hardin, St. Mary, East Moline, Sacred Heart, Pana, St. Charles, Hampshire, St. Anne, St. Anne, St. Thomas, Newton, St. Christina and Our Lady of Grace, Chicago, St. Patrick and St. Cabrini, Springfield.
Services were held June 15 with Rev. Peter Witchousky OP officiating. Final Commendation was held June 16 at Sacred Heart Convent. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home in Springfield was in charge of arrangements.
