James R. Hinrichs, 67, of Vermont died at 5:31 p.m. Feb. 12, 2010, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Cass County, a son of Charles Edward and Eula Frances Masten Hinrichs. He married Gloria Snowden on June 12, 1964, in Vermont. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Andrew (and Amelia) Hinrichs of Billings, Mont., and Chris Hinrichs of Vermont; one brother, Russell (and Terry) Hinrichs of Petersburg; one sister, Loretta (and Stanley) Eden of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and six half-brothers and sisters.
He was a welder at Bohn Aluminum and Brass in Beardstown for over 18 years.
He attended Vermont Christian Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
