Nancy HendersonNancy Margaret Hazel Henderson, 89, of Cuba died at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 14, 2007, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born April 21, 1918, in rural Ipava, a daughter of Justus Lee and Nellie Kaylor Deakin. She first married H.H. Blakley. Later, she married Verle E. “Bud” Henderson. He died Dec. 12, 1999.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, W.C. (and Andrea) Blakley, and Glenn (and Judi) Blakley, both of Smithfield and Larry Scott (and Laura) Blakley of Ipava; three stepsons, Ronald (and Jean) Henderson and Richard (and Lois) Henderson, both of East Peoria and Donald (and Dixie) Henderson of Moline; one daughter, Nancy P. Blakley of Cuba; one sister, Mabel (and Lawrence) Graham of Fiatt; one brother, Robert (and Betty) Deakin of Silvis; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She worked for 17 years at Canton Manufacturing Co., and was a farm wife raising cattle and horses with her husband.

She was a member of Cuba Christian Church.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.
