Merlyn E. Hunter, 75, of Browning died at 9:34 p.m. Nov. 14, 2006, at Snyders Vaughn-Haven in Rushville.
He was born Aug. 11, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edward L. and Pearl A. Youtzy Hunter. He married Margaret E. Stambaugh on March 22, 1958, in Belle Plain, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard (and Janet) of Astoria and John (and Rhonda) of Browning; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, David; and one twin sister, Marylyn.
He farmed his entire life. He also worked for Bader and Co. and FS Inc.
He was a member of Rushville Assembly of God Church.
Services were held Saturday at his church with Pastor Gary Schluckebier officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
