Doug Myron Hopping, 42, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Pompano Beach.

He was a son of Myron and Beverly Hopping.

Surviving are his father, Myron (and Erma) Hopping of Mackinaw; his mother, Beverly (and Dan) Willis of Godfrey; three children, Charlie, Sam and Cori of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Darin and Alan of Warrenville; three sisters, Judy Broussard of Boynton Beach, Fla., Janis Lee of Springfield, Mo., and Jody Patton of Tuscola; two half-brothers, Aaron and Pat; two half-sisters, Diana and Sharon; two stepbrothers, Rich and Brian; and one stepsister, Bev.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two brothers, Phillip Hopping and Dan Willis Jr.

He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 9, 1976, to Aug. 16, 1983, as a medical specialist.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Union Chapel Cemetery in Astoria, with Gary Sheets officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
