Jack HerronJack HerronJack J. Herron, 70, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Vermont, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.
He was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Fulton County, a son of Justus and Bessie Miller Herron.
Surviving are two sons, Michael and Douglas, both of Davenport; one daughter, Jacqueline Kirschmen of Fort Madison, Iowa; one sister, Frances (and Merle) Tingley of Vermont; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Edward; two brothers and one sister.
He was an Air Force veteran. He retired from Sivyer Steel Corp.
Graveside services were held Friday at Vermont Cemetery with Tim Worstell officiating. Kost Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
