David Hoke

David Lee Hoke, 46, of Rushville died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born May 11, 1955, in Rushville, a son of Earl C. and June Hodges Hoke. He married Amy High on July 6, 1991, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Cheyann Hoke at home; two sons, Josh of Roodhouse and Jason of Macomb; one brother, Steve of Rushville; one half brother, Donald of St. Louis; one half sister, Rosalie Adams of Macomb; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one half sister.

He worked for Smiley Construction in Industry, Laverdier Construction in Macomb and Carpenters Local 904 out of Jacksonville, last working in November.

He also played the guitar and sang with the bands Blind Vision and Renegade for 20 years.

Services were held at 11 a.m. today at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rick Colbert officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Cheyann Hoke Education Fund, in care of Rushville State Bank.
