Beulah Hamm

Beulah I. Hamm, 79, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Rushville, died at 6:57 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 1999, at her son’s home in Reno.

She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Vermont, a daughter of Harry W. and Lottie E. Dean Gamill. She married Richard “Dick” Hamm on Jan. 14, 1939, in Keokuk, Iowa. He died Sept. 12, 1995. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Harry of Reno and Robert of Auburn; two daughters, Patricia Lovekamp of Rushville and Dorothy Elliott of Good Hope; ten grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; and one sister, Hazel Simpson of Kahoka, Mo.

She worked in the Illinois Secretary of State’s office until she retired. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She attended First Christian Church “Disciples of Christ.”

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home with burial in Vermont Cemetery.
