Raymond R. Hubbs, 86, of Canton, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, at Graham Hospital.
He was born July 13, 1912, in Summum, a son of John R. and Ethel Smith Hubbs. He married Cecile M. Cox on Oct. 14, 1993 [year must be typo], in Summum. She died Aug. 17, 1974, in Canton. He married Ila Jones Walraven on Nov. 15, 1975, in Canton. She died June 4, 1996, in Canton.
Surviving are one son, Robert of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one daughter, Adrianne Cowan of Macomb; one stepdaughter, Shirley Rohrer of Canton; one brother, Paul of East Peoria; one stepbrother, Jack Adams; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He worked at International Harvester for 35-1/2 years, retiring in 1972 as a supervisor. He was a 50-year member of Morning Star Masonic Lodge 734, AF&AM.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Dean Bucalos officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
