Dale Hay

Dale M. Hay, 80, of Concord, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, at Passavant Area Hospital.

He was born March 10, 1917, in Astoria, the son of Earl and Mable Hay. He married Alice Large Hacker on Nov. 23, 1963, in Jacksonville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Rev. Ellis LaVerne Hacker of Springfield, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. John W. (Joan) Gilbert of North Las Vegas, N.V., Mrs. Larry D. (Jeanette) Plank of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Mickey J. (Carolyn) Little of Champaign, and Mrs. Ronald E. (Faye) Kershaw of Arenzville; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Chester (Viola) Chipman of Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.

He farmed early in life in the Fulton County area. He later drove for Schnitker Truck Lines for over 33 years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows Lodge in Vermont and First Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville.

Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Concord United Methodist Church. Burial was in Concord Cemetery. Williamson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville or the Concord United Methodist Church.
