V. Gladys Hickenbottom, 88, of Macomb, formerly of Roseville, died at 10:03 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born Oct. 30, 1907, in Table Grove, a daughter of Hollie O. and Addie May Chenoweth Smith. She married Paul L. Hickenbottom on Dec 11, 1926, in Macomb. He died Jan. 9, 1991. One brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dana (Leona) Curtis of Macomb; three sons, Eugene Hickenbottom of Bushnell, Carroll Hickenbottom of Dallas City and Larry Hickenbottom of Carthage; one brother, Robert Smith of Good Hope; one sister, Neva Baughman of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren; one step-grandson; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She and her husband farmed in Industry, Roseville, Sciota and Good Hope. She was a member of Table Grove Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held this morning at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
