Shauna Helle

Shauna M. Helle, 16, of rural Cuba, died at her home at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996, after an extended illness.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1979 at Canton, the daughter of Ed and Linda Armstrong Helle. They survive.

Also surviving are her paternal grandmother, Dorla Helle of Cuba; her paternal great-grandmother, Alice Chambers of Bernadotte; two aunts and two uncles.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence and Myrna Armstrong and Clifford E. Helle, and two great-grandmothers and a great-grandfather.

She was a member of the Cuba High School Class of 1997 and had received her diploma as an early graduate. She was a member of the National Honor Society. She had been a member of the Yearbook Staff and also the girls softball team. She was the recipient of the “Hugh O’Brien Student Leadership Award” in 1995.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Barbara Short officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shauna M. Helle Scholarship Program to be established at the Cuba High School for students at that school.
