Edgar Allen Hart, 88, of rural Astoria, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, June 23, 1996, at his daughter’s home in Astoria.
He was born Sept. 9, 1907, in Saldora, a son of Jess and Ollie Hart. He married Hazel Fern Cooper on Oct. 16, 1934. She preceded him in death, as did several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Betty) Royer of Astoria and Louise Owens of California; and one son, Willard Hart of California.
He was a custodian at Loma Linda Hospital in Loma Linda, Calif., and Mason District Hospital and Mount’s Garage, both in Havana. He was a member of Petersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Funeral services were held this morning at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Roland Rogers officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Chandlerville.
