VeteranDavid J. Haacke Of Lewistown Dies

David J. Haacke, 55, of Lewistown, died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1985, at his home.

He was born Nov. 23, 1929, in Cuba, the son of Vivan and Mary (Barber) Haacke. He married Kathleen Wickert Oct. 5, 1953, in Fulton County. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Condra Herrick of Canton; one son, Kenneth Haacke of Canton; one foster son, Butch Hertz of Lewistown; four grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Barclay, Mrs. Thelma Mann and Mrs. Betty Bump all of Lewistown, and Mrs. Anna Lea Deushane of West Liberty, Ohio; and one brother, Bill Haacke of Lewistown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was a former employee of International Harvester Inc., and was presently employed as a security guard at Curtis Detective Agency. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Waterford Union Church with burial in Waterford Cemetery.
