LeRoy E. “Roy” Head, 79, of Astoria, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1985, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.
He was born Nov. 10, 1905, at Carbon Cliff, a son of Frank Lee and Anna Ruge Head. He married Loralee M. Welker on Aug. 24, 1946, at Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, David Lee Head of Moline; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Carroll of Alexandria, Va.; and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by one son, one sister and two brothers.
Mr. Head was a member of the Astoria Christian Church and was a former employee of International Harvester Co.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Jim Comstock officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening at Shawgo’s. Family visitation will be one-half hour before services.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Christian Church.
