Mrs. Lela A. Hellyer, 79, of rural Bushnell, died at 1:08 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 1980, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Mrs. Hellyer was born Aug. 15, 1901, in Schuyler County, the daughter of John and Kate Reno Baker. She married Gale E. Hellyer on Feb. 14, 1922 in Macomb. He died May 1964.
Surviving are one son, Francis of Bushnell; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Baker of Browning and Burdette Baker of Rushville; and two sisters, Mrs. Iola Vratis and Mrs. Iris Sharman, both of Astoria.
She attended schools in Schuyler County and Normal College in Macomb. She was a resident of Mound Twp., McDonough Co. for 60 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with burial in the Bushnell Cemetery.
