VeteranWillis H. Heffren Of Havana Dies

Willis H. Heffren, 60, of 315 E. Mound St., Havana, died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1980, in the Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was a retired mechanic, a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Havana Post 6408 VFW. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Fulton County, a son of Mike L. and Nellie Edlen Heffren. He married Mary R. Bricker on April 7, 1943, in Lewistown.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Willis Jr. of Winterville, N.C., and Byron L., at home; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret McKenzie of Lewistown; and one brother, Robert of Rushville.

One sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Arthur McKinley officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
