Guy F. Haare, 79, of 600 W. Third, Beardstown, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 1980, in Mission, Tex. The Haares had been spending the winter months there.
He was born July 6, 1900, in Astoria, a son of Levi and Ellen Hamm Haare. He married Irma Robinson on Mar. 13, 1924. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Gene of Havana and Willis L. of Chillicothe, and six grandchildren.
He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for 33 years before becoming a distributor for Sealtest Dairy Products, where he worked until he retired.
He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown with Rev. Glenn Anderson officiating. Burial was in Beardstown City Cemetery.
