Clarence Haney Of Vermont Dies

Clarence Edwin Haney, 67, of Vermont died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at his home near Vermont following an illness of ten months duration.

A retired farmer, Mr. Haney was born in McDonough County on Feb. 19, 1903, the son of Ross and Edna Robinson Haney. He was married to Hazel McCormick Strosnider in Lewistown on March 17, 1923. She survives.

Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Laura Louise Seasley of Vermont; one stepson, Verlyn Strosnider of Fresno, Calif.; one grandson, Edwin Lee Seasley of Vermont; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren of Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Cox of Rushville, Mrs. Delma Strode of Vermont, Mrs. Helen Trotter of Carthage; and one brother, John Haney of Washington, Ill.

One son, one daughter and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Haney was a member of the Vermont Christian Church, a past master of Vermont Lodge AF & AM, past high priest of Lusk Chapter Commandery of Rushville, Council of Beardstown, and past patron of Crescent Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Kost Funeral Home of Vermont. There will be no family visitation.
