Mrs. Edith J. Hulvey, 83, of Astoria, died Friday afternoon in the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, following an illness of 10 days. She had been a resident of the Astoria area most of her life.
She was born March 1, 1884 at Colchester, the daughter of George and Anna Nichols Heaton. She was married Dec. 24, 1899 to William Fawcett, who preceded her in death April 5, 1947. On Nov. 16, 1955, she married George Hulvey, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. May Stinson, of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a number of step-children. She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers and two sisters.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the Astoria Church of the Nazarene, of which she was a member. Burial was in the Harris Cemetery at Table Grove.
