Former Vermont Resident Dies In Canton Hospital

Ralph G. Hamm, 56, of Lewistown, retired mechanic, died Sunday morning at the Graham hospital, Canton. He had been ill four years.

He was born January 18, 1899 in Vermont, the son of Edward G. and Margaret McHenry Hamm. He had lived in Lewistown 25 years and was a member of the Lewistown Methodist church.

Surviving are the wife, Sadie; two sons, Edward of Springfield and Kenneth of Peoria; a daughter, Mrs. Betty LaRue of Lewistown; four grandchildren; two brothers, Marshall Hamm of Kingsburg, Calif., and Glen Hamm of Henry; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Fisk of Seneca, and Mrs. Elizabeth Richey of Vermont.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Lewistown. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
